We are kicking off the new year with our largest grant wave yet!

Delegated Resource Allocators
In the biggest wave to date, UGP is awarding over $2M in grants to teams, new and returning. While the overwhelming priority for the program is still to expand on increased accessibility of developer tooling, the state of inbound applications have focused more on user onboarding and usability.
Some points of highlight for Wave 6:
- Recognizing the need for more allocations and allocators, we are continuing with the successful UNI side round on Gitcoin to let the uniswap community decide on what projects should receive additional funding.
- Continuing to lower the barrier to participation, Alex & Shreya from Columbia Blockchain are building a portal on arweave for university students around the world to identify DAO bounties and opportunities. In that same vein, LiquiFi is working on open source DAO token vesting contracts and multisig dashboards to help manage vesting schedules enabling all DAO workers to start capturing greater upside for their work.
- Education and awareness will never stop being a top priority! With Rabbithole, new quests will be created for onboarding to all L2s so newcomers can learn to swap more affordably on uniswap. Professor Guillaume Lambert’s Yewbow will be a central resource to understand LPing, from what it is to optimizing strategies and exploring various relevant metrics. At Art Basel Miami, led by CeCe Gehrig and FWB volunteers, UGP grantees helped onboard over 300 people in creating their first wallets, learn about private keys, claim POAPs, and figure out what is DeFi!
Some quick stats to recap 2021:
- 898 submissions have been received since applications opened

- 24 hackathons funded with over 500k in bounties awarded to hackers
